ABOUT THE AUTHOR

As we begin our 25th year of publication and I reflect on our last five months of involvement with the Senior Advocate, since the announcement in the August edition. It is only now that we begin to realize what a great history we are part of and have inherited. There are so many wonderful people that I wish to thank, especially our Readers, Advertisers, Columnists, and Professional Organizational Partnerships. Especially, Austin Group for the Elderly, where The Senior Advocate all began as a newsletter, and of course David and Dana Smith. Our Editor and Art Director, Ms. Jodi Heuvers, has worked many long hours and is a creative genius behind the scenes. Our advertising sales staff, Holly Kendall, has been an invaluable asset to us. To Richard Littlefield, your support and friendship has been a blessing.

We are proud to be the oldest newspaper for the elderly in Central Texas. We provide valuable information on many topics that relate to issues on aging, and that help families to understand which resources are available to them. This paper is not created in a vacuum.  We welcome input from our reader for suggestions and contributions. Please remember that we are all here to help. May God grant us the ability to continue to do what we do, and to continue to provide you with the best and most current information available for the 25 years. Have a Great New Year!
